Alan Wilkinson's first solo release, this 1994 cassette release (Bruce's Fingers BFC 45) has been out-of-print for quite some time. We're pleased to make it available once more, thanks to Bandcamp. A special treat for the BF completists (and Wilkinson fans) out there!

---------- press quotes ----------

“Wilkinson hands in some hard-driven workouts here, taking his place (as if he weren’t already there) alongside such saxophone powerhouses as Peter Brötzmann or Albert Ayler, say. One of the most resolutely inspired and jagged-edge solo reed collections of the year.” Davey Williams THE IMPROVISOR

“The sheer immediacy of Wilkinson’s playing takes the breath away.” Ben Watson HIFI NEWS & RECORD REVIEW

“A quite remarkable performance. Ahead of its time, this is one recording that shouldn’t be missed.” Philippe Renaud IMPROJAZZ

A suivre. » Jean Michel van Schouwburg ORYNX
